Through its recent donation, West Herr Subaru of Rochester has once again demonstrated a strong commitment to helping individuals and families in our community who are facing homelessness and hardship. Open Door Mission exists to provide shelter, food, and guidance to homeless men, women, and children at their most vulnerable. By offering emergency housing, addiction recovery programs, transitional housing, and permanent housing solutions, the Mission creates a path forward for those seeking hope and a fresh start. As a nonprofit Christian Rescue Mission serving Rochester, New York, Open Door Mission is dedicated to meeting both the spiritual and physical needs of the impoverished and homeless. Through faith, compassion, and community partnerships, lives are restored and hope is renewed. The ongoing support of community partners such as West Herr Subaru of Rochester plays a vital role in helping Open Door Mission fulfill its mission and vision. Together, we can ensure that every person who comes through the Mission's doors is given the opportunity to experience life transformation and build a brighter future. Open Door Mission will honor West Herr Subaru of Rochester with its Dove Award on September 24, 2026, at Locust Hill Country Club. The Dove Award is presented to an individual or organization whose consistent dedication has had a tremendous impact on those served by the Mission. We also provided gift baskets to recognize and reward the dedicated employees whose compassion and commitment make a positive impact throughout our community. The Lipson Cancer Center has long been a trusted resource for our community. Whether someone is seeking a wellness exam, addressing a new health concern, or managing a chronic condition, the team at Lipson provides care that is both personal and compassionate. They treat people not as numbers, but as individuals with names, stories, and meaningful connections to the community. On June 16, West Herr Subaru of Rochester and Rochester Regional Health's Lipson Cancer Institute once again partnered to make an impact for local blood cancer patients and families. Through the Subaru Loves to Care® program, blankets and messages of hope were delivered to patients receiving treatment, offering comfort and support during a challenging time. This annual initiative reflects a shared commitment to enhancing the patient experience and ensuring that those facing blood cancer know they are not alone. We are grateful for the continued partnership of West Herr Subaru of Rochester and Lipson Cancer Institute and their dedication to bringing hope, comfort, and care to our community. Together, we are helping to support patients and families while advancing Blood Cancer United's mission to create a world without blood cancers.

West Herr Subaru Shares the Love with Open Door Mission! We presented our hometown charity with a check for over 34,000 dollars! Open Door is a non-profit Christian Rescue Mission founded to provide for the spiritual and physical needs of the impoverished and homeless men, women and children of Rochester, NY by restoring hope and changing lives. Their team graciously showed us around and we learned all about the organization and how these funds will be used to assist those in need. A special thank you to our Subaru customers who purchased, leased, and serviced with us throughout this event. Your support makes this possible and we are so proud to be a part of the Rochester community!
West Herr Subaru of Rochester hosts Halloween Dog Adoption Event - Amanda W.
On October 4th, West Herr Subaru of Rochester hosted some furry friends from Rescued Treasures Pet Adoptions. It was a HOWLING good time full of dog inquiries, Trunk or Treats, Halloween costumes, and Fall photos. Eash rescued pet that comes into Rescued Treasures has been saved from a kill shelter or an owner who could no longer care for them. Rescued Treasures takes the time to get each pet fully vetted to ensure good health. The pet is then placed with a loving foster family to train and get them ready for their Furever family. West Herr Subaru is proud to support this organization throughout the year but especially during Subaru Loves Pets Month. Along with Subaru, West Herr awarded Rescued Treasures with a 6000 dollar grant and New Parent Pet Kits to help support their mission.
